Logistics
Logistics & Transport Management System with Driver App
A logistics company website with public tracking and instant quotes, joined to an operations console for shipments, dispatch, routes, warehouses, fleet, invoicing and support, plus a customer portal and a mobile driver app with proof of delivery.
The Challenge Solved
Logistics companies run on phone calls, WhatsApp groups and spreadsheets: customers keep asking where their goods are, dispatchers assign loads by memory, drivers' proof of delivery is on paper and invoices go out late. Nobody has one live view of shipments, vehicles, warehouses and money.
Demonstrated with Nexora Logistics, a fictional freight, warehousing and delivery company in Bangladesh with five hubs, 48 vehicles and 300+ shipments.
For customers: a company website with services, industries, locations, news and careers. Anyone can track a shipment by number without an account and see every hub scan, hand-over and estimated delivery time. An instant quote form prices a shipment from the live rate card. Business customers get a customer portal where they book shipments in five steps using saved addresses and their account rates, accept priced quotes, follow active shipments, download and settle invoices, and raise support tickets.
For drivers: a phone-first driver app with today's route and stops, the next delivery with call and Google Maps navigation, proof of delivery with a drawn signature, "can't deliver" and problem reports, a job history and a profile. Marking a stop reached updates the customer's tracking page straight away, and a delivery closes the shipment and raises a draft invoice.
Nine roles:
- The Administrator sees everything.
- Operations runs the full console without system settings.
- The Dispatcher handles shipments, the dispatch board, routes, drivers and vehicles.
- Warehouse handles shipments, deliveries and hubs.
- Fleet handles routes, drivers, vehicles, maintenance, fuel and expenses.
- The Accountant handles quotes, invoices, expenses and customers.
- Support handles shipments, customers and the support desk.
- Customers and drivers each have their own app.
