Video Streaming Platform with Content Studio
A Netflix-style streaming app for movies and series, with multiple profiles, a Kids mode, a full video player and an admin studio for titles, episodes, video sources, subtitles, users, reviews and analytics. Installs on a phone and feels like a native app.
The Challenge Solved
Launching a video platform means building two products at once: a smooth, app-like viewing experience for every device, and a back office where the team can publish content, manage streams and subtitles, moderate reviews and see what people actually watch.
Demonstrated with AMTSTRM, a streaming platform with 105 movies and series, 488 episodes and metadata imported from TMDB.
For viewers: sign in and pick who's watching. Each profile keeps its own My List, Continue Watching, history and recommendations, and a Kids profile only shows family titles, blocking anything rated for older audiences. The player supports HLS streaming, quality and speed control, subtitles in English, Bangla and Hindi, skip intro, autoplay next episode, picture-in-picture and keyboard shortcuts. Viewers can rate and review titles, watch trailers, search by title, actor, director, genre, year or rating, and see their year in review in AMTSTRM Wrapped.
Native app feel: it installs to the home screen as a PWA, opens full screen without a browser bar, has a bottom tab bar on mobile and app shortcuts for Continue Watching, My List and Search.
For the team: the Studio admin covers a dashboard with watch time, sessions and top genres; movies, series, seasons and episodes with draft, publish and archive; one-click import from TMDB; genres and curated collections for the home page; video sources and trailers; WebVTT subtitles; a media library; users with roles and suspension; review moderation; analytics; and site settings like the hero rotation, a maintenance banner and the fallback stream.
This is a frontend demo: sign-in is simulated in your browser and commercial titles play clearly labelled open-licence demo streams.
